Several of our members were on hand Saturday to help give away school supplies to around 1000 children in grades K-12. Kids came to different booths where information was available on related health issues. Staff from Columbia Valley Community Health and other organizations that promote good health were on hand to answer questions as kids picked up their supplies. Every kid was given a backpack, paper, notebook, pencils, folders, ruler, erasers, etc. Thanks to Alan Walker, Lisa Parks, Wayne Massing, Joanne & Aaron Rosenthal, Bill McDowell, Bertha Goehner, Tom Hanson, Norm Sturm, Ted Fukuzawa, Jim & Carol Adamson, Milt Herman, and Joan Wright for helping at the event.
