Century Bike Ride

The meeting last week and today were used to finalize plans for our Century Bike Ride this Saturday.  We also had a great social last Saturday, when over 25 members drove the route that will be used by the bikers. Two vans and three cars took us along the 100 mile route.  Alice Thompson gave some history and/or information at each pit stop, and each member drew a card to get the best poker hand at ride's end.  Rani Sampson had the high hand, and Mansour Ravassipour had the low hand.  At the 50 mile turn around at Lake Wenatchee, we enjoyed refreshments before heading back.  We were joined by several other families at Godfathers for pizza when we got back to Wenatchee.  Thanks to Alice, Kathy Hamilton, and Lisa Parks for organizing the social.  It was great fun, and we got to see what the riders will experience from the comfort of our cars.
