Presidential Changeover

Fifty-four people showed up to celebrate Alan's year as president, and witness the passing of the gavel to Carol.  Wild Ivy (Lulu's) catered a great meal, and the Wenatchee valley Museum & Cultural Center was a wonderful venue for the event.  The POOPs (Past Order of Old Presidents) helped remind people of Alan's year with a Star Wars skit written by Gary Looney.  After all, Alan reminds us all the time that we are the best club in the galaxy.  Gary also put together a PowerPoint that showed Alan from birth to today that played during dinner.

Alan awarded the "Marky" Award to Leonard Noss.  Leonard has been a solid member of our club, and our historian for many years.  He has just undergone surgery to remove a cancerous tumor, and was home resting up.  We phoned him and congratulated him on the speaker phone.  The Marky is given each year in honor of former member/president Mark Anderson, who was big on service and hard work.
