Garden Progress

Trellises were constructed on May 20
for the beans, tomatoes, and cucumbers.  Now all that's left to do is weed and watch things grow.  We are hoping for a plentiful harvest in order to provide residents of the Bruce Hotel with fresh produce all summer.

Thanks to Christine Huffman for helping design and construct the trellises.  We appreciate Bill McDowell providing the pvc pipe, Patty Rush for providing the bailing twine, and Jim's cousin in Plain for providing the T-posts.  Thanks to Tom Hanson and Rani Sampson who joined Carol, Jim, and Christine to help construct the trellises.  The Master Gardner at the field tonight gave our garden a big thumbs up, and called it "picturesque".                                     (Our first produce presented to the Bruce Hotel staff)
